2022 will have been a difficult year for household budgets, especially low-income families. It is now a certainty in all sectors: the cost of living in France is no longer what it used to be. It suddenly increased, due in particular to the health crisis and especially to the war in Ukraine. If we take a closer look at our country's inflation, according to the INSEE data , in September 2022, consumer price inflation reached 5.6% year on year , after 6.1% in July, hitherto the highest level since July 1985. The exceptional energy check is awarded to '40% of the most modest households' , with regard to financial income. A total of 12 million households are affected. In any case, to be entitled to it, you must meet two conditions indicates the site of the Public Service:
The amount of the exceptional energy check will be 100 or 200 euros , depending on the degree of household precariousness. In detail: 20% of the most disadvantaged families, whose income is less than €13,310, will receive €200; the 100 euros will come back to households with income between €13,310 and €18,610.
The official payment date for the new energy voucher has not yet been revealed, but the aid has been announced before the end of 2022.
Eligible persons do not have to take any steps to obtain the energy voucher. It is assigned automatically. In principle, it is the tax administration that lists the beneficiaries. Then, it is up to the Services and Payment Agency (ASP) to edit and send the check by post to the people concerned.
The family support allowance (ASF) is intended for each separated parent, raising their child alone, without having alimony or whose amount is less than 118.20 euros per month. Unlike other forms of assistance, the ASF does not take into account the household's means test.
This year, the ASF benefited from a significant revaluation of 50%. From November 2022, eligible persons will now receive 184 euros per month and per child , instead of the current 123.20 euros.
The revaluation of the ASF will be effective from November 2022. It will be paid every month by the CAF or the MSA, depending on your scheme. The 5th of each month for CAF recipients.
To apply for the ASF, you must complete a specific form which is available online. here for the CAF, here for MSA. Once completed, all you have to do is send it to your fund with the supporting documents requested (copy of the judgement, family record book, etc.).

For the Christmas bonus, no action is required. If you are eligible, the aid will be automatically paid to your bank account by Pôle Emploi, CAF or MSA depending on your situation.
The government has recently decided to extend aid linked to childcare, this time taking into account family situations.
The 'additional free choice of childcare' aid ( CMG ), paid by the Caf or the MSA, will be extended to single-parent families ' for children aged 6 to 11 years old. For the time being, we do not yet know when it will be effective.
The aid granted in the event of alternating custody will be divided between the two parents. Again, we do not yet know the terms of this new measure.
