This is the trendy cocktail for this winter (you love its summer version)

It's the new trend of winter 2022: the hot spritz. This Aperol-based drink, of course, replaced prosecco with another alcohol. Find out which one, we slip you the recipe.

Feet in the sand, sunglasses on your nose and spritz in hand... You can already see yourself there! But there the winter that is pointing the tip of its nose , causing temperatures to drop and the sun to disappear. Do not panic, to warm your hearts, we have the perfect drink : the hot spritz. Also called 'Hot Aperol', this cocktail trend is a sumptuous mix between a summer cocktail and the essential of winter: mulled wine . This combination will overshadow eggnogs, hot chocolates and other hot drinks.

Its preparation is very simple, just replace the prosecco with White wine . Very present on German social networks, the spritz winter version comes in different recipes . If the base of Aperol, dry white wine and orange syrup is always present in the preparation, some add apple juice, others orange juice, the choice is yours!

The hot Spritz recipe

Preparing this trendy drink is done in two steps, three movements. To do so, all you have to do is equip yourself a cup or a glass and a saucepan . Then follow the recipe!

Ingredients for 6 glasses (about 40 ml capacity)

  • 1 small orange (preferably organic)
  • 750 ml dry vin blanc
  • 500ml apple (or orange) juice
  • 300 ml d'Aperol 
  • 3-4 tablespoons orange syrup
  • Honey or vanilla sugar (optional)
  • Thyme, rosemary or cinnamon (optional)

Preparation

1. Clean the orange with hot water and cut it into 6 slices. Reserve on the side.



2. Pour the white wine, fruit juice, Aperol and orange syrup into a saucepan and heat gently. Be careful not to boil the mixture.

3. Divide the mixture among the glasses and add a slice of orange. You can add a sprig of thyme or rosemary or even a cinnamon stick.
