The Best Bakery in France is back on M6 since Monday, January 2. And surprised! The show welcomes a little new member of the jury. It is Noemie Honiat , who is reunited with his old sidekick from Top Boss 2012 Norbert Tarayre. The Toulousaine, now 33 years old, is the ideal juror since she is herself a great regular at competitions. French Dessert Champion, Noémie Honiat was also a finalist in the last edition of the Bocuse d'Or France. Who is this jack-of-all-trades full of energy? And what role will she play alongside Norbert Tarayre and Bruno Cormerais in The Best Bakery in France ?
Originally from Toulouse, Noémie Honiat was unveiled to the general public in 2012 during her participation in top chef, during the same promotion as Norbert Tarayre , Jean Imbert, Denny Imbroisi or Juan Arbelaez. Daughter of a computer scientist father and an accountant mother, Noémie Honiat followed her own path by joining the Paul-Augier hotel school in Nice, before discovering a passion for pastry with chef Vincent Lemercier in Théoule-sur-Mer. . After obtaining her Technological Baccalaureate in Hospitality and then a BTS in Culinary Arts and Table Service, she cut her teeth at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, Grand Hotel of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat , at the Marriott Hotel from Monaco then to Majestic and at Hilton .
At the same time, Noémie Honiat wins the competition Young gastronomy talent in the kitchen , then becomes French Junior Dessert Champion in 2011 , but also Belgian pastry champion in 2013 then 5th in the season 3 of Top Chef, won by Jean Imbert. The following year, she returned to the show as a juror on the War of Restaurants event where she met the candidate Quentin Bourdy , who is still today her husband with whom she has two children. In 2013, the young woman is back in Top Boss since she manages to win one of the four places reserved for former candidates and finishes 3rd in season 5.
In 2014, Noémie Honiat and Quentin Bourdy take over Jacques Bourdy's hotel-restaurant (Quentin's grandfather) and were quickly distinguished Young Talents by Gault&Millau , before winning a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide. In 2020, the adventure stops and Noémie Honiat creates her own wedding organization event structure. In the meantime, the young chef, as comfortable in the world of salty as sweet, was the guest of the show The Best Pastry Chef on M6 as well as the host of the Netflix series It's a piece of cake ! . She was also among the Bocuse d'Or France finalists before being recalled by M6 to become a member of the jury of The Best Bakery in France . 'What I'm going to bring again is a more in-depth analysis on pastry. Today, it's something very important when you enter a bakery. Ditto on the snacking part: we are far from the ham and butter sandwich and we see real recipes from cooks. Having this role is very rewarding... Humanly, I met real enthusiasts. Professionally, I learned a lot of techniques and recipes' , she also entrusted to the Journal 20 minutes. This season 10 also began with a week in Occitania, region of Noémie Honiat. The Tour de France has only just begun!
