Madonna Louise Ciccone was born on August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. Founding drama: she loses her mother at age 5 to breast cancer. The little girl is sent by her father Silvio Tony Ciccone, an automotive engineer, to board with the nuns. It was there that she learned, among other things, dance and theatre. When Madge left Detroit, to conquer New York, at the age of 20 and with 35 dollars in her pocket, success was long overdue and the young woman multiplied odd jobs. In 1979, 'M' landed her first role as a dancer in the erotic thriller A certain Sacrifice .
