What is a 'fruit and seed day'?

When the Moon revolves around the Earth, it successively passes in front of groups of stars to which men have given names. These are the constellations of the zodiac. There are twelve. They are all associated with one of the four elements of Air, Fire, Earth and Water. Depending on this element, they act on the organs of the corresponding plants. Concretely, the constellations Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are associated with the Fire element and act on the fruits of plants . In other words, when the Moon, during its rotation around the Earth, passes in front of one of these three constellations, the activity of plants, due to the energies emitted by the Moon, concentrates on the elaboration of fruits and seeds: these are fruit days .

Which plants are affected?

All the trees and fruit bushes are obviously concerned, such as apricot trees, almond trees, cherry trees , chestnut trees, lemon trees, fig trees, hazelnut trees, walnuts , orange trees, apple trees, pear trees, plum trees etc. Where the raspberries , currants, mulberries, strawberries, etc.

In the vegetable garden, all plants that are grown for their fruit are fruit plants. To name a few; eggplant, cucumber, gherkin, squash, pumpkin, zucchini, broad bean, bean, corn, melon, watermelon, pepper, pepper, pea, tomato as well as all cereals (wheat, oats, rice, rye, barley etc.).

What to do on fruit and seed days in the garden and vegetable garden?

The Fire element results from the combination of hot and dry. While the first tends to favor the metabolism in general by bringing the fruit to maturity, the second concentrates the sap, provides better resistance to external humidity and prolongs the germination power of the seeds. The fruit days , when the ambient air is hot and dry, are therefore perfect for harvesting your fruit or collecting seeds from vegetables and flowers .

In general, make your garden and your vegetable garden live over the seasons by attaching particular care to fruit plants: you can sow , plant, pick or harvest. Favor the plantations of trees or shrubs in descending moon for a faster rooting. The pruning should also be done in the waning moon. Transplants, on the other hand, will succeed much better in a rising moon.
