After only a few months of opening, the new Marvel Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris has won over visitors thanks to its completely new attractions and new restaurants.
[Updated September 27 at 5:02 p.m.] Notice to fans but also to the curious! Disneyland Paris inaugurated on July 20, 2022 a brand new extension, the Marvel Avengers Campus. Located in the heart of Walt Disney Studios Park, the new Marvel district aims to be immersive, in the world of superheroes, but also inclusive, with the possibility of becoming a superhero yourself. Tony Stark-Iron Man imagined it in person. For this, everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail both outside and inside the buildings, attractions and even the restaurants. It's simple, the immersion is total!
To immerse viewers a little more in the Marvel universe, new restaurants have been created , such as the innovative scientific laboratory Pym Kitchen, the Stark Factory, a fast food service or the WEB food trucks. ' Everything at Disney tells a story, including the restaurants. For example, Stark Factory is a nod to Tony Stark's repair garage. When you enter you are faced with a large armor, the Hulkbuster. Finally, whether you know Marvel or not, when you go to one of the restaurants on campus, you are immediately in the mood. And if you're a real Marvel fan, you won't be able to miss some subtle details that refer to films or spin-off series. Either way, you're at the Marvel Avengers Campus in a place that doesn't exist anywhere else.' explains Laurent Cayuela, designer-writer at Walt Disney Imagineering.
In detail, and to make your mouth water a little more, there are several culinary offers in these restaurants, each as innovative as the next:
In the restaurant Pym Kitchen , who is inspired by the universe of film Ant-Man and the Wasp , the experience is pushed into the plate. An all-you-can-eat buffet is offered to adults (42 euros) and children (30 euros), with dishes and products prepared in giant or miniature versions, as a nod to the power of the superhero (XXL burger, mini madeleines or giant oreo etc). The choice is very varied to satisfy all taste buds, even vegetarians.
In Tony Stark's garage, there is a restaurant dedicated mainly to Italian cuisine. À la carte, three types of pizzas (from 14 euros per slice) and 3 varieties of pasta (from 13 euros) made on site, with locally sourced products. The portions are generous and in terms of taste, the flavors are well balanced. Special mention for the pizzas which have a very thick and greedy dough.
To eat on the go while having fun, the campus has three food trucks . The W.E.B. Worldwide Eatering Brigade which offers Asian-inspired cuisine to reveal your superpowers, with shrimp, chicken or tofu noodles (11 euros), and original desserts such as coconut atoms (5 euros). There is also the FAN-Tastic and its typical American hot dogs (at 11 euros), with a vegan option. And finally, the Super Diner straight out of the 1950s offers a grilled sandwich, 'the authentic Reuben' made with pastrami, sauerkraut and melted cheddar (from 11 euros), to eat in or take away. A version for children and for vegans is also available.
Within the Marvel Avengers Campus, visitors can create their own story alongside the Avengers, as many met are planned, in particular with the famous Spider-Man or even the Wakanda Warriors . In the Training Center too, you can meet the heroes and you can even reserve a time slot to film an animated sequence with Captain Marvel or Iron Man thanks to the Disney PhotoPassTM. Thrill-seekers will also enjoy the park's two new attractions: the Avengers Assemble - Flight Force, a high-speed roller coaster, and the Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. In this latest 100% unprecedented innovation, visitors are invited to launch cobwebs like the superhero thanks to 3D. At the end of the day, to keep a memory of this experience, the boutique Mission Equipment on campus features all-new Marvel Universe apparel and accessories, like Spider-Man's boots!
